Yan Yean Pump Station Project

In order to meet the growing water demand within the northern and western suburbs of Greater Melbourne, a new pump station facility was built at the existing Yan Yean Water Treatment Plant. The facility contains a number of pumps and relating equipment responsible for the bulk transfer of water to the Bald Hill Tank.

Scope of work:

Delfab were contracted to complete the structural steel supply and install alongside the mechanical fit out of the pump stations and adjacent area with Principle contractor SFPJV. This included primary and secondary structural steel, supply and install of MSCL and Stainless Steel Pipework as well as the installation of Surge Vessels, Pumps, Valves and relating equipment.

Outcome:

The project was delivered successfully meeting all requirements in a safe and controlled manner with zero negative impact on the surrounding environment or our people.
